Patients are in control of their healthcare. Once they accept that chiropractic care can help them, they can make the best choices for their body. Dr. Terry educates his patients on how to best care for their bodies with chiropractic and exercises.

Can Chiropractic Help Me?

Many patients are surprised at how chiropractic care can make a difference in how they feel. Pain doesn’t always originate in the area that’s hurting. Getting to the root of what’s causing your pain is key to providing relief. Once you treat the cause, pain relief and restored function occurs.

Our patients have seen improvement with focused chiropractic in relation to:

  • Back pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Knee pain
  • Foot pain
  • Headaches and more

Our Techniques

Dr. Terry has had great success for his patients using Motion Palpation and Manual Manipulation Techniques.

The bones, nerves and muscles of our bodies allow us to move. When joints aren’t moving correctly, Motion Palpation, can help find the problem. Used to discover spinal dysfunction, it’s based on muscles, ligaments and other soft tissues causing vertebrae misalignment. Using this diagnostic procedure, Dr. Terry feels how your joints react as you turn and bend. As you go through range of motion of your joints, he applies a light pressure to the joint to feel how it’s moving. He also listens to hear if there are any audible sounds to indicate the nature of the problem.

Motion palpation pinpoints the area that requires treatment and helps to determine the direction and force needed to correct the issue. In many cases, adjustment has corrected not just the primary subluxation, but smaller ones that may be connected.

Manual manipulation techniques are the basic adjustment techniques used by chiropractors worldwide. Depending on the severity of your injury, Dr. Terry will adjust you according to what your body needs.

In some cases, trigger point massage can prove helpful as well. This technique addresses knots in your muscles which prevent adjustments from holding. Once the trigger point has been released, your muscle is able to return to its normal function.
